Many islands and coastal regions in Asia have suitable wind resources for power generation. OPS has been the main contractor in supplying and integrating these systems for maximum use of both solar and wind power.

Perhentain Island (Malaysia) has a 300 kW mix of renewable power combined with a 400 kW diesel power station. The OPS system integrates these together to ensure the most cost effective supply of electricity. In windy periods the system can operate with no diesels in operation thus 100% renewable contribution to the supply.
